I’m not against regulation of social media such as TikTok, not because of any percieved foreign control of the narrative, but rather simply because of its harm on individuals (addiction, toxicity, dysmorphia, surveillance capitalism, to name a few things).
Fair point. Maybe they avoid endorsing specific products with which they are unaffiliated? Especially since Mozilla gets most of their funding from Google and promote it as a pinned shortcut and default search engine?
At the same time, the power of the EU is, however indirectly, based on the votes of the people, and if enough people disagree they might just change their minds a little. I guess the best thing you could do, therefore, is to spread the word.
Yes, you’re right, we can’t do a lot. But we can write to the member of the European Parliament who is responsible (Romana Jerković), and we can vote in our national elections and the European one coming up next year, so that’s something.

I really like Brilliant. It is really clear and interactive, the only real negative is the price.
The brain, your conciousness, is the central coordinating centre of you as an organism, the highest level of control. It is formed with the end goal of propagating its genes, which one might however argue makes it a submechanism arising from the super-conciousness, evolution which has the intention of creating as many organisms as possible.
At least it’s better than [email protected]… I wanted to say that [email protected] is the best by far but then I realised that they’re not federated with you guys.
Edit: There really should be a technopolitics comm somewhere. I wonder whether people would use it if they knew it existed. It would probably also require some proper moderation in these communities.
