They changed all streets near the school to 30k zones (yeah!) a couple months back, but cars still regularly go way too fast. Doesn’t help that the warning sign still flashes a smiley for anything under 50.

    So, I would assume from this video that a smiley face means they’re going the speed limit. It keeps flickering between the two, meaning the sensors keep getting confused.

    Is that not right? It seems too spastic otherwise.

      The thing alternates between showing the measured speed and a reaction to it - smiley if it’s acceptable, something else if it’s not. I don’t remember RN what the bad reaction is (I’m not a driver) but in a 30 zone a smiley at 42 is misconfigured.
