I personally hate rounded corners and shadows added everywhere. Makes most things look crappy and smudged.

    Tiny text. If you’re designing something for people beyond their mid twenties, don’t use anything less than a 12pt font.

      There are text elements I legitimately want to be smaller than the default size even if it makes them a little harder to read. But they should be used sparingly.

      If text at 80% of normal size is unreadable to you, it means you need to adjust your operating system’s font sizes. You’re not doing yourself any favors if you keep your fonts at the smallest size you can read.

        I’m thinking about specific web pages that use very small text for the body of an article. Then, once I’ve adjusted my browser so it’s legible, the text on other websites is ridiculously big.

        Sadists. Or perhaps I’m giving them too much credit. Maybe they’re just morons.
