Great post ! i felt my past Linux experiences where quite normal while reading it. So, thanks to you.

More people using Linux would cause problems like this to stop happening.
i say the designers + programmers made it so and you say users made it so. … it seems we disagree here.
With gratis Linux we pay with our time. You did very good to go through all this hell in a mere 7 hours. Programmer creating those monstrosities don’t understand our mundane concerns.
P.S. : still Linux has qualities that makes it superior in many ways.
Yes we have to experiment a little bit before getting some interesting results … as for my tests it was with LLAMa.
this is weird but sometimes those platforms do crash : once i sent an LLM in an infinite Loop … i wanted the name of the command lsblk and asked to complete this : **blk

i cannot post this if I remove the spaces !
How is it in countries using the metric system ?
in France :
https://www.mara-materiaux.com/bois-de-charpente/8094-lambourde-38x63-mm-long4-m-traite-9202001090740.html
LAMBOURDE 38x63 mm long.4 M TRAITE Unité de vente : le mètre linéaire 1.42 € /m
5.68 € /(4 m)
So, this is aprox ($6.?) for one “…2x3x(~13ft)…”
(treated wood)
… verry expensive, yet, upfront size disclosure.
ideally, when we subscribe to a community but we block the instance, the behavior of the software should be that we would see said community … but in fact, I really don’t know what Lemmy software does in those cases.
Do this :
Settings >> Blocks >> Block instance : lemmy.ml
Wikipedia, about once a year, has those donation pledge boxes at the top of every article …they must be somewhat effective since they come back year after year …better keep them small though to avoid disheartening users. Maybe start small like this trending community line at the top of the user feed.
P.S. : Since we don’t want the user to get habituated it’s better if it’s just a few days once a year.

Maybe 9 post out of 10 are deleted by the few checks I made manually …or am I missing something ?
Well, t.i.l., thanks 👍
You used the microwave ? 🤨

Testing is important. Next it should be done with adhesive bandage.
Hi @intensely_human
You are the only one here who gets it easily even though I didn’t say much.
Also in this tread I’m now up to 8 levels’ comments with @grabyourmotherskeys but we are getting nowhere & I am quite feedup. So if you could do something here I would appreciate.
Thanks
It’s something I think about constantly, whether I want to or not! ;)
When I was young I was in that situation, with those same questions. But I was lucky : I had the right science and the right IQ and I found the answers. You are now thirsty and I gave you some salt ; if you are too blind to see it or too arrogant, bad for you, so i will not come back to this.
Goodbye.
at what point ( … ? )
Before answering this I need to know if you get the basics : what do you understand so far ? About chaotic systems ? About their variable rate of exponential divergence ? About their “liberty” ? About the fact we have such systems in us, only far more complex ?
And beyond any explanations, if you came to know we have free will, how could we stand the shame and guilt of not doing enough ?
i agree with this because for me the problem is more vulnerabilities, bloatware and negligence than anything else.
