Canadians: First time?
I am stalking you.
Canadians: First time?
I’ve noticed this too. Most of the stuff on Reddit’s frontpage has an angry undertone. Anger = Engagement.
How much of a PIA is it to install Linux on a Chromebook? I’m looking for a small laptop and Chromebooks are the perfect size.
Do you know where that tight little ball in your lower abdomen should go? Down the shitter. You don’t have to internalise it. You are your own best friend.
My homies: Marcus, Seneca and Epictetus.
Same here. Mandrake 8.2 was a buggy mess, but I have fond memories of it.
That was one shitty database application lol. I guess the programmer hadn’t thought of using pagination.
The UI was dope. My drug of choice was Netbus 1.70, though.
Netbus 1.70 baby
I have been using a flip phone since 2017, but I’m considering switching to VOIP since I don’t use my phone much anyway.
TRS-80 Colour Computer 3. I have a real TRS-80, but I use MAME for assembly programming.
This is really cool. I’m trying to teach myself 6809 assembly.
It’s simple, easily customisable, and I like the big chiseled buttons.
It really is mwm :) The toolchest-like menu in the upper left corner isn’t part of mwm though.
You can find more info about the mwm fork here: https://fastestcode.org/emwm.html
I use Debian with a patched version of motif window manager. The 90s never ended:
They’re making a comeback, somehow: https://webring.xxiivv.com/
I still use both. 99% of Usenet is spam, but there still a few active groups (especially under comp.*). The BBS scene on the other hand, is booming. I see new users every week on my favourite board.
I find the hot/active categories pretty confusing too. It would be nice to be able to show subbed communities either across the top of the page or on a sidebar like old Reddit.
There is no engagement algorithm; it’s us :)
Congrats!
