I spent 80 hours with it in the beginning of the year and it’s really a blast!
I finished Dave the Diver this weekend, great little game!
Now I’ve jumped board the No Man’s Sky train again, for the first time in six (!) years. And so far it’s been really fun and chill!
Not only amazing, but also a freaking machine when it comes to churning out books.
That just released 1.0 a few months ago at that. It’s really good!
Minchin is a goddamn treasure, and I will never not upvote posts highlighting him.
Yeah, you are correct, and that’s why I think he was talking about games specifically. That’s a grade A assumption from me though (and a bit of hopium?)
Eh, it sounds more like he wants then to go back to the roots and developer a groundbreaking game, like Portal, or HL2, again. Which doesn’t sound like a bad thing. To do something groundbreaking it probably helps if you dare to do something that is scary.
Wait, what’s a frog tong??
Seeing as you liked The Stanley Parable you might want to give Antichamber a try. It’s also in the mindfuckery category of games. And I didn’t see Portal 1/2 on your list, they are in roughly the same area of games, but focused more on the puzzle side of things.
That’s such a good one
Nah, I had just forgotten the scene, but I’ve seen it. I just thought it was something bigger that would come up later on.
Aaah right, I know which one you mean. Sorry! Thought it was something big that would happen down the line.
Dude! Could we not post spoilers please??
I started in 2019 and write almost exclusively VBScript. It might be a bit limuted in some ways, but it’s quite useful in other ways. And it’s easy to learn!
Where’s the love for VBScript?!
I tried playing the third and fourth installment, but they couldn’t hold a candle to the second one imo.
He’s got a lot of different series that are great watches. His CKII run with Perun is particularly good.
It’s not made by Epic Games, it’s just the launcher they are using (to the annoyance of many of us who bought early access which had their own launcher). It was pretty good in EA, but I haven’t tried it since so I can’t say how it is now. Might pick it up on the switch to try it between Diablo sessions…
I got back into Path of Exile a month ago, and that’s still going on. Last time I didn’t do more than finishing the campaign, but this time I’m well into end game and it’s great!
I’ve also started playing Siege Survival: Gloria Victis this weekend. You play as a couple of characters in a city that’s under siege. During the day you need to create supplies for the soldiers in your bastion, and during the nights you’ve got to sneak around the city and gather materials, or scout behind the enemey lines to get Intel for the next siege attack. It’s actually really fun!
