Anyone use it and can compare it to moonlight?

I agree with you, but look where the money is at. Google and Amazon and the rest want to take a cut of the money you give these apps and goods. It loses them money if they police these things.
That’s why strong regulation can be a good thing, keep the capitalists in check at least a tiny bit.
nice! taking a look. Thank you
Piped is just a front end and the data is still on Youtube servers right? Honestly that is probably enough but I’ll check out the one /u/[email protected] suggested.
I felt bad for the dude until I got to the part that it was a rental property.
Not all landlords are scum but enough of them are that everyone in the business is tainted.
Living indoors should be a human right. Charging for shelter should be illegal, same for food and water…
And the cycle is complete!
To add, hypervisor is very low level, below the operating system often. Hypervisors allow you to run multiple operating systems on the same hardware.
Containers are isolated processes running within an operating system using stuff like cgroups.
It has been years since I played with it but OpenStack is a suite of tools to build a data center like AWS or Azure. You can get the VM bit up and running pretty quick with basic packages on an Ubuntu system if you want to play with it, but again it has been years.
What is your goal? Playing with kvm may be a better path if you want to understand virtualization.
If you want to upskill for a job, I’d see if there is a certificate to work on. Even if you don’t want the cert, the curriculum might be a good starting point.
Makes sense. I don’t blame them. Uber is a leech. A super convenient leech.
Yeah, Uber eats is about 20% more expensive per item on the menu, though I am sure it varies.
Artisan Sourdough often has a chewier crumb than sandwich bread and the crust is harder. Sounds like it would be murder on the under carriage
I agree, but you still need to dry yourself lest you get diaper rash and fragile sandpaper is no good
cOmE baCK to WORk It’s greAt!
Back before Amazon (I’m sure it still exists I just haven’t been in retail), on Black Friday we had a loss leader that would bring people to the store. In our case it was a pallet of DVD players. We priced them at break even at our cost to get them to the store so we would lose money on the sale if you accounted for labor. The goal was to entice people into the store so they would buy our other crap.
I wouldn’t be surprised if “loss leaders” aren’t actually losing money these days with how our Corporations are doing.
Yeah dollar stores are the worst. They usually only have 1 or 2 employees and everything is everywhere. I don’t blame the employees, the store management needs to hire enough people to staff the fucking things.
Retail in general is hiring much less staff these days so they always look like shit. I heard on the radio that they are removing self checkout now too because of theft? I doubt they will increase staff back up to compensate. I kind of want to be there in rush hour the first time to watch the shit show.
Stuff like this is on the menu and posted on the restaurant windows usually.
I agree tipping culture is insane and owners of restaurants use tips and fees to pass on labor costs to consumers, but this shouldn’t be a surprise to you.
Edit: not you as in op I was responding to but “you” being whoever is going to the restaurant
When a bad hunt means your kids starve plants seem like a much safer option.
Human ancestors had a varying diet that was regional and included bugs and wild plants and yes some animal protein. There are some estimates that they regularly consumed like 100g of fiber a day
Can’t tell if you’re being facetious but I like veggie burgers and they are better with toppings imo.
In 2024? No.
