I ended up getting some ssds last black Friday, but only because they were 20% cheaper than they’d been all year. Now the prices are even higher, so I don’t feel like I bought at the wrong time

What about running a Linux to go removable disk and just pull it when you need to boot windows?
Stainless steel, sharp edges, it’ll take your finger off with ease if you’re not careful. All traits I look for in a good kitchen knife.
This game will
feature Mario alongside characters from various franchises, including Pokémon, Splatoon, and Doom.be DMCA’d imminently

So is that $10M per person or family or family generation? I think the part where things start to spiral is when someone has a few kids who themselves have a few kids each and then add in the spouses. Even at 2 kids per generation and only the first Gen kids have spouses and you’re up to 10 people or $100M.
Exactly! Just grip the cardboard tube and pull the middle out
I think the GPU being separately upgradable on the 16" pokes a tiny hole in your argument. But I generally agree, there’s not too much that is saved or retained when upgrading. But for some people it’s worth it, if they’re reusing the ram, SSD, Wi-Fi card in addition to the parts you mention, AND they’re not too rough on the case, screen, and keyboard/trackpad.
Guys we need AI on our blockchain web3.0 iot. Just imagine the synergy
Depends on how much they paid in the 90s. Panels were 10-20x more expensive back then. And it’s a 1kw array so like 40mwh over its 30 year lifespan.
I didn’t downvote but wine turbines are not easily recyclable due to all the fiberglass and resin. They’re finding new uses but lots still get buried in landfills when they’re decommissioned
Yeah it looks like a transflective LCD with an (optional) almost orange internal light. Would it make a decent e-reader or note taking device, sure, but it’s not e ink.
So like 4-5c roughly if the 90-100% charge rate is similar to the 0-90%. Way lower than some of the lithium cells I’ve seen at 30+c
Not disagreeing, because you’re right that the differences you’d see are minimal, but did want to add that latency & random I/o is better on most nvme than most SATA SSD. And that would be somewhat beneficial for an OS drive in my opinion. But the difference would probably not be noticeable, as you said.
You could go with a 2.5in SSD in a USB enclosure. I think OP was just suggesting this as the highest performance option.
The benefit is being able to display 3+ different ads on rotation that change every minute or two. That, and labor is cheaper when they’re not 50ft off the ground
While you’re technically correct (the best kind) I’d still argue that the subset of finite addresses that are human readable and relayable is significantly smaller. If you disagree just fill out a form on my website:

I think it could be accomplished. If any income from the sale or transfer of a domain, above the standard registration fees, is taxed at 100% that would stop most, especially businesses. No it wouldn’t be perfect, but no tax system is.
I even recall a time I negotiated back and forth on Sedo to buy a domain name, and it turned out the seller didn’t own the domain.
I’m sorry, how is this NOT fraud?
I agree with OP. Domains should just expire if they’re not renewed.
And honestly, I’m against the hoarding and resale of them too. They’re a finite resource and should be limited to a fixed number per human being. And only transferred for free not resold.
I know on the multiple boxes issue it’s because of differing rules on wall thickness & sturdiness from country to country. So I’m wondering if there’s a country that requires a specific plastic thickness for products. Then it would just be the manufacturer using the lowest common denominator that works worldwide, instead of having multiple SKUs or having to repackage it.
Oh totally. If you’re not watching the prices of something you want and just using it as an opportunity to impulse shop you get fleeced.
