Unfortunately, his right foot might need a star
Made a complaint to the California Dept of Consumer Affairs. I used the way back machine to show at the I purchased the phone, their policy was “full refund, no questions asked” which they silently changed a few years later and then hide behind as an excuse to deny refunds. Turns out that’s illegal.
A shady company that I had to fight tooth and nail to get my money back after literal years of false promises and moving goal posts. They’ve burned any respected reputation they had.
A lawsuit waiting to happen… someone needs to class action MS for systemic breaches of privacy. Think of all the critical infrastructure, government, medical, policing, etc. systems processing sensitive, private, and in some cases classified, information.
Yeh, I’ll wait until the bugs are ironed out and my distro (mint) determines it’s stable. No need to start asking for troubles when everything is working smoothly.
Walled garden platforms doing what walled garden platforms do I suppose…
Yeh. The Librem was a classic example of overpromise and underdeliver. Borderline scamware by Purism. Will never go near them again.
Tell me about it, it’s way to cold for chrissy! 30 - 35 degree chrissy with some beach and bbq are the best.
It’s a real shame. Monopolies in any industry/product inevitably lead to fucking over consumers… time we broke em up I think
People keep buying big tech products and subscriptions then are shocked when they fuck you over? shocked picachu
Is that true? I didn’t realise this.
I would report so many more bugs if there was a way to do so easily, in app, without having to create an account somewhere or signup to some website or specific forum. Give me a one-click “report bug” box and I’ll do it. BG3 did this well.
Man… we can’t have anything nice… damn capitalists fucking every thing up
After changes Ive made mentioned elsewhere, im getting a stable 200+ now, maybe give them a go also? Although, I do have a weird glitch where things have a green sheen to them when running for some reason, but seems like a CS2 only issue at this stage, might be patched out later.
Resize Rebar was something that was previously switched off I discovered. Turning this on via the Asus EZ Tuner made a great difference. Found im still on a Mesa 22.x driver for some reason, despite running latest driver update, and my kernal is showing 5.15.x, despite having all OS updates installed… will need to investigate, perhaps a Mint issue. Thanks!
Thanks! Yep, Xorg. I mucked with some setting in BIOS, enabling EZ Tune, and have had a slight performance improvement from doing so, so something was throttling it there. Hadn’t heard of gamemode before, might give that a go, along with mangohud.
Thanks for sharing, good point, I hadn’t looked there yet but seems like a common issue for some people
Thanks. Following some snooping around the amd site, I’ve run ’amdgpu -install’ and a few additional drivers were installed. Along with some bios power changes I made (enabling asus EZ tune), I am getting above 150 on average now, so suspect this may have had some improvement.
They’re just mean via proton, which tbh is fine. Everything works great through proton.
