Absolutely. I am not very good at it myself, but the best way to deal with these people is to ignore them. Without attention they get bored and do other stuff. Either that or you fight their nasty by being nasty in return. But they have no shame so you kind of have to sink to their level. I will admit I do that from time to time myself to release steam, but its not great for your mental state to do it a lot. 100% agree, too much is being focused on getting games as cutting edge graphic wise as possible without focusing on optimization, size, game play, or even if consumers can reasonably be expected to have the hardware necessary for it. I worry the gaming industry will hit a point where the leeches at the top determine the industry is dead because they’ve ruined it so badly in the never ending pursuit of unrealistic profit. Like no shit not as many people want to buy games riddled with bugs, microtransactions and lacking any attempt at listening to what consumer want to play. I miss when developers were allowed to be creative and work on things they enjoy, because that definitely was represented in the games when playing them.

I don’t give a shit about people taking advantage of others to generate a passive income for themselves without giving anything back in return while rents increase and just pocket in and continue screwing others over. Also companies buying up everything to artificially increase house costs can burn to the ground with the CEOs and executives inside.

So I am also a straight white American male and the ones I blame for this culture is the old rich white American males. They don’t want to lose power so they use their money (Rupert Murdoch as an example) to radicalize those who don’t have the education and/or training to tell real from fake. Yes there will always be the “deplorables” as well. But i do feel for those who fall for the bullshit. Doesn’t mean they can be allowed to drag everyone else down, but I at least understand how those who might have initially had the best intentions could be radicalized into more extreme mindsets. Propaganda and peer pressure is far more powerful and insidious than a lot of people give it credit.
