And you just know it’s good because Wube doesn’t play around

I wish there was an easier way to tell people about Ameliorated and give it a try. Having Windows update and edge removed has already been so much better.
Now I do have to mention that I still run the iso they offered back on version 21H1 which I prefer because installing Windows takes roughly 2 minutes until it’s ready to do whatever
I really like how Wube is putting so much efford into making Factorio 2.0 such a huge update! But it scares me how much content it brings even after 600 hours… Feels like starting from scratch
Aurora has been fine for me so far.
My experience might be better as I logged into the account of someone else to access some paid apps. Haven’t had much trouble with the disposable accounts either, may also because I haven’t used it that often.

Droid-ify is my personal favorite client. You can opt in to many other repos like IzzyOnDroid (pic below) It’s also material design, which I like aha.
Since I found out about F-Droid and Aurora Store, I’m actively dodging the Play Store. No one will ever make me use it. Ads, promos, junk everywhere! And their shitty way of updating.
It’s not 100% private because Windows, but it certainly improves it a LOT. But do mind that it comes with a security vulnerability as Windows defender is also removed and you’re left on your own. So no shady downloads, unknown pdfs, or whatever harmful there may be. 3rd party ‘anti-virus’ software is also explained on their FAQ page, which you should check out before continuing :)
There’s also Ameliorated which helps debloat hour Windows and 9/10 times get a better experience using it. There’s different playbooks which help optimise to the experience you like (eg. gaming). Could give it a try :)
My Ameliorated Windows won’t be affected >:)
Didn’t know about Grayjay until now. Thanks for bringing it up - it looks really promising!
Been quite a while! Thanks for telling me though, I will test it out when I get to it!
My experience with Jellyfin have not been great. The mobile app is just not working well enough
Plex has lots of customisation available (which I prefer) but is a little harder to get running in my experience. I’d say, install them both and see what you like most. Do start with Jellyfin as it’s easy to install.
Both public traffic and driving sounds pretty cheap to me. Insurance, road tax and fuel gets me on 200 bucks a month… Public traffic takes way longer and is more expensive somehow… (Netherlands BTW)
