Thank you for the compliment, if you keep reading outside your safe space and opinion articles, you’ll get there too!
Russia invaded Ukraine. All anyone besides tankies and trolls need to know.
Even though op’s post history clearly points to the angle they’re trying to get across, I’ll answer for ya.
You educate the Russians. They’re living in a closed room and are being force fed bullshit so Ukraine looks like the bad guys. Once they’re educated and realize what the hell is going on, there will be some uproar to them being drafted and forced to fight Ukraine who has done nothing wrong. Maybe then, they’ll stand up to Putin and take his fucking ass out and this shit can be over. At that point maybe Russia can turn it around and become a productive member of society.
That’s fair. I used nobara for about a month, based off of Fedora. It worked good, but my sound quit working and I really missed the way I could set up workspaces on popos.
True, it’s really easy though. I watched a video on it, it took me five minutes and I was pretty new to Linux. I still am.
I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for but I run PopOs with Wayland and it works great. Certain games after playing a lot of hours after a few days will make it sort of freeze up for a second here and there. If you log out and back in, it’s all good. It would be only complaint but not a big enough deal to complain about.
Cheeseburger.
I’m almost nervous about Cosmic because I like it now because it just works. I’m not a super pro linux user, how big of a deal is not being up to date with Ubuntu, and how far out of date is it?
I get that, but honestly, with popos, I haven’t had to do any tweaking to get things working. I gave up trying to get it to work in mint, and I think I had issues in nobara too.
I have games I play on steam that steam says is a no go on the steam deck. I decided to try it anyways and all but one worked. (it was a MS game so I’m not terribly surprised)
I haven’t played that game, but I have some EA games that work great on Lutris. Have you tried that?
I tried a few other distros, and popos just works. The only minor issue I’ve had is after days of playing some games, it will start to freeze up for a second or two every second or two. If I log out and in, it’s fine again for a while.
Go team red would be my advice.
I won’t give the dbag the satisfaction of calling it anything but twitter.
I roll popos and tried nobara and mint a month ago. I’m back on pop because it just works and installing games on it is no issue. There are a couple games that after playing a few hours a day for three or four days, the computer kind of freezes for a second here and there. I just log out and in and it’s fixed. I would rather throw my computer in the street and run it over than go back to windows.
Microsoft’s advertising campaign for people to switch to Linux is working great.
I was at a grocery store where a guy went into the express 15 items checkout with a full cart (no excuses, it’s very clearly marked), he was unloading all his stuff while the person in front was finishing up and then when it was his turn the cashier dead faced stared at him, shut off the light and her register, and walked to the one next to it and started it up. It was amazing.
