I think a two disk dual boot is safe. I’ve had that setup for a while and Windows hasn’t broken anything yet (though I only use it maybe once a month).

Technically speaking, no. The mantle, which is solid, comprises about 2/3 of the Earth’s mass. However at a planetary scale solids are not rigid enough to maintain their shape, so the Earth is closer to a liquid held together by gravity than to a rigid solid object. See this simulation for an interesting demonstration of its properties: https://youtu.be/kRlhlCWplqk
Can they do that? I thought all two letter TLDs were reserved for ccTLDs only. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out.
Remove those cursed half circles and you’ve got yourself a nice annular solar eclipse!
A bit over two months ago. I try to go through my password manager to change all my passwords and clean up unused accounts a couple times a year.
After reading the first few paragraphs, I can understand why that site was deprecated by Wikipedia as a source. It’s a very opinionated article.
Seems like a reasonable donation prompt; it’s infrequent, unobtrusive, and can be easily dismissed and disabled. Some people are so sensitive to the idea of any sort of soliciting that they forget projects do need money to function.
Great, now they’re going to start giving us exams before we’re allowed to watch a video.
This is a post about glasses. Are you lost?
Whatever you do, make sure you have a backup! There’s always the possibility of screwing something up, no matter how careful you are (or your hard drive deciding to spontaneously self destruct).
Yeah, I just left my SSH port as 22 since I only use key-based authentication so there’s really no security risk. Plus, it’s funny going through the logs and looking at all the login attempts.
If you’re looking for a new registrar, I’ve had only good experiences with NameSilo. They’re not the cheapest, but they’re generally cheaper than GoDaddy, don’t paywall arbitrary things like APIs or WHOIS privacy, and have good support.
That’s true. Though there are reviews saying their support is terrible, which I assume applies to B2 as well.
I would not use them, they have bad ratings on Trustpilot.
Why did they put that button in such an annoying spot to press? If you’re going to add a pointless button at least put it on the thumb side, like almost every other mouse in existence.
No need for all these new-fangled tools when good ol’ dd
does the job just fine. (Though they certainly reduce the chance of accidentally nuking the wrong disk).
The other 20% is mostly high quality however, and I’m sure they’d filter out the heavily downvoted crud.
Where are you located? I’m in need of some new backup drives and would be happy to pay a reasonable price + shipping if you’re interested.
I’d assume they’ll tell ISPs to block TikTok’s domains/IPs. It won’t stop determined people but it’s realistically the best they can do.
Yeah I don’t really understand why people care so much. If you don’t like game studios doing stuff like this, just don’t play their games. There are plenty of games out there with great Linux support you can play instead.
