Who would want to buy them? The only value a studio has without it’s IP is the devs, and you don’t need to buy the studio to acquire them.

Yep, nvidia’s linux drivers are notoriously jank.
Hacksmith on youtube uses playstation controllers for remote operation of their giant mechs.
Fucking same. Gives me the same vibe as OJ with pulp, ugh
Only if they have access to a mac and xcode would it be easy. Trying to develop anything for iPhone, even a fairly simple website, can be a genuine nightmare without the proper tools for testing, let alone an actual app. I once spent over 2 days trying to solve a bug that I was able to resolve in like 5 minutes after finally admitting defeat and borrowing my brothers macbook.
Almost, but not quite. A single second recording played at one fps would take roughly 5 million years to finish, so a 40 minute recording would take 12 billion years to finish at 1 fps. The big bang was 13.8 billion years ago.
To anyone that doesn’t believe in ghosts, which I assume is most people, it’s not really relevant? Like, obviously if there’s any “questionable” stains on the wall or something still I wouldn’t be on board, but as long as the house was properly renovated afterwards I don’t see an issue.
When has banning porn ever been profitable? Look at tumblr.
As someone who still semi-frequents reddit, it’s mostly bots, more and more of which are clearly using some form of ChatGPT or another LLM. It’s actually kinda absurd, I’ve seen many a comment chains where it’s just different bots replying to each other, both pretending to be real people.
Unfortunately as part of the settlement, the Yuzu team is prohibited from ever working on an emulator for any Nintendo console again. This is why Citra was shut down as well.
I can’t help you with this in the general sense… but trust me, if they block you, you won. That’s a full retreat on their part.
It’s not just that. Ovens cook with heat originating outside of the food, so the skin cooks(and cracks) before the inside gets hot enough to detonate. Microwaves on the other hand cook by exciting water molecules inside the food, and since the inside of the potato has way more moisture than the skin, it heats up much faster than the skin does.
DVDs were also commonly used as external data storage prior to flash storage becoming the predominant method. Anyone still have their spindle of dvds with a Win XP backup lying around?
Blu-ray doesn’t have that advantage. The only major commercial applications it has been used for is movies and games, and games are already breeching the size that even a 4k blu-ray can hold, and have long since required faster data transfer speeds than blu-ray is capable of(this is why even with physical games, the game has to be installed to the console)
Ehh… as someone that has seen it, it’s still not that big a deal. Sure, in still frames the difference is really noticeable, but when you’re actually immersed in the movie and the action and you’re not just scanning the scene with picture quality in mind, it really makes no difference to me.
$17/hr with a 2 hour commute is considered a dream job in your area? Goddamn
A lot people like playing on genuine hardware, and this enables skipping a ton of steps to making that possible. For those select people this really is a massive convenience if maybe not a godsend.
“You can’t. You had literally all of eternity to ask your final question, you could’ve used some of that time to come to terms with your death, but instead you immediately used up your question(and your remaining time) trying to cheat death. Goodbye”
In the case of business’s, liability reasons, real and imagined, mostly prevent just “switching” OS’s freely.
In the case of home users, think of how many people you know that have a windows computer. Now how many of those people can you confidently say could install ANY OS, let alone handle setting up Linux or bypassing TPM requirements for W11?
Personally, out of the hundreds of people I know with a windows computer, I can count on my fingers how many I’m confident in being able to install an OS. Most people are really not tech savvy. They will just ride it out with no security patches until it becomes Jenn’s laptop from the IT Crowd, and then they’ll chuck it in the garbage.
use your proprietary software in the OS you are allowed to use. Not seeing the issue.
The OS they are able to use is Windows 10. They likely don’t meet the TPM requirements to update to Windows 11(as if you’d wanna use it anyways); so when W10 goes EoL, they will be SoL(shit out of luck) on getting future security patches. Which is y’know, bad, especially on the machine you do actual work on.
Yep. A third party candidate hasn’t gotten a single electoral college vote since George Wallace, and the only time a third party has done better than either a Democrat or a Republican was with Theodore Roosevelt and his Bull Moose party, which crushed Taft but got absolutely obliterated in turn by Wilson due to the spoiler effect.
