It depends. Some Software patent holders have been known to die way earlier.
To me you turning your life around sounds impressive. Despite your condition you achieved something awesome. Software developer sounds like as good a job as any. Absolutely respectable in my book. And you got plenty of time to climb the career ladder.
Also if you hang with lots of smart people and don’t think of yourself as smart, chances are you are smarter than you give yourself credit for.
Seriously. Way too many open source projects have bad names. In jokes, oh so clever world plays, programmer humor recursive names and just silly sounding or impossible to pronounce stuff everywhere.

KDE connect on iOS doesn’t yet have the file transfer feature completed. I was surprised by that when I was looking for a good way to airdrop from my desktop Linux to my work iPad.
