Never have I ever eaten lobster
LMAO. I didn’t remember that name but I had a feeling I knew who it was. This guy’s arm stayed on though
I think this is a common thing with boy scouts. We happened upon an accident in between stations at camp. A kid ran up and tells us his dad crashed his car and he needed help. There was a man who was laying in front of the truck on the ground. His arm was bleeding profusely. We needed to administer first aid. The guy had a bunch of blood all over his arm and he was acting all incoherent. We decided to Jerry rig a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and send someone up the road to find a phone (pre cell phone days) The whole experience was super traumatic. All staged. Fuckers. They even had a pump shooting out fake blood from the guys arm.
I set up Amazon Echo buds recently. I have no desire to use any of the Alexa crap on them and just wanted cheap, decent noise cancelling Bluetooth earbuds on prime day. You apparently can’t set them up without the Alexa app and like all the permissions. I downloaded it on an old phone that’s practically blank, set up the buds, and deleted the app. Once it’s set up you can use like regular Bluetooth earbuds. They wanted location all the time and a few others (microphone maybe?). Selecting only allow this time wouldn’t even work. I get it Bezos, u want my data, but fuck off u aren’t getting it.
My mom’s TV had that. Absolutely infuriating. I want my TV to play the signal it gets, not try to “fix” it.
Lol, owned by Google. Kinda defeats OP’s purpose
I do not give 2 shits about people speaking foreign languages out in the ether for the most part. Having said that, there are 2 instances I can think of that grind my gears.
You order an Uber, and the guy who’s driving is on the phone with someone, and is speaking another language with them the whole time. This is more just for the fact that this is shitty customer service for someone who works on tips to an extent. For whatever reason, this seems to only be an issue with foreign speaking people. My guess is maybe they’re talking to family back home? I certainly don’t tip those people who are doing it, but I don’t care enough to call them out on it either.
As a poker player, they have rules about speaking English only at the table. This prevents collusion. I will absolutely call people out for English only at the table especially when there is a live hand going on.
Yeah, but the op was talking about worrying about people on the plane stealing from his bag in the overhead bin, not the TSA stealing from it. But yeah, TSA is grimy AF, I always make sure to count my money before and after I put my wallet through the security line. I also wouldn’t trust valuables in a checked bag as well.
Good luck and Godspeed.
I’m spoiled. My mom makes jams and cans them, so 9/10 times, her homemade stuff
Maybe we can start a change.org petition to get this resolved.
Imo glass bottle is king. Then can, then plastic bottle if I’m in the middle of the Mojave desert having walked for 3 days with absolutely no form of hydration and am literally on the cusp of death. It tastes like shit and is bad for environment; not recyclable. Fuck plastic bottles.
I get it, but my point is the criminal element uses the Covid masks for a completely different reason than the immunocompromised, and it’s very easy to tell who that is.
Where I’m at, it doesn’t get THAT cold.
More recently, I’m immediately suspicious of someone who is very obviously not immunocompromised; wearing a Covid mask with the hoodie up. Especially if they have sunglasses on. That person is either bipping cars or about to steal something. Best to just steer clear. I only ever really encounter these types in SF. They aren’t worried about Covid, they just don’t want their face to be seen.
I’ve literally never had anything stolen from an overhead bin, and I’ve never given the slightest of fucks about monitoring my bags unless I was traveling to like a 3rd world country, and even then, it’s overkill to worry. It’s a captive audience, and the dumbest place to steal. The airline has everyone’s name/info. It’s certainly possible, for someone to, but definitely not likely.
I just flew with 2 kids and 4 carry ons. We had to go to the service desk to check 2 car seats anyway, so I asked the lady if we could gate check our carry ons while we were there. They did it free of charge. I don’t know if all airlines/ airports will do it, but Delta did. It was super convenient to not have to lug around 4 bags through security and around the airport/ layover airport while chasing 2 kids. Unfortunately, I’m flying United back who only allows a “personal item” so I’m assuming that’s not going to be an option on my return flight.
Thieves aren’t buying multiple hundred dollar tickets to bip your laptop from your bag man.
I literally chill til the very end of boarding before I get on. Like you said, my seat is assigned, it ain’t changing, and I’m packed light enough to put my backpack under the seat in front of me. Sometimes people don’t show up n I sneak into a better seat 🤫. I’ve only ever been called out for that on Frontier, they know the hustle apparently. I’ve never bothered trying 1st class or anything, but I’ve gotten some middle seats to transform into aisles that way.
I used to have a Miracast dongle and it worked like a champ. No wifi needed and it did exactly what I wanted. I always thought it was cool, but it never really caught on. Android killed off support a few years ago. You can still use it with Windows, but I mostly use a Chromecast now for convenience.
