Yes. Admittedly I don’t have time to test if it really boots. I wanted to do that some time end of next week when I got a day off to take care of stuff.
Nobody likes a sucker, especially the kind that fall for fruit tarts like you. I knew there was trouble. I could smell it on the hot evening breeze. Fortunately for me, trouble is my favorite thing… Because I’m Joe Milkshake. I kicked down the door with one swift, decisive motion.

Seeing your post I was actually worried because next week I wanted to install Bazzite on my laptop. For me the download worked fine though, 3-4 MB/s, its the bazzite Asus nvidia image. So it seems more of a problem with your internet connection somehow, more specific to wherever they store downloads.
Are you downloading with a download manager that could retry connecting when it fails?
Does it even have a live USB? I thought that’s not a thing with immutable distros? At least Kinoite didn’t have a live USB option.
Sorry, you need high quality data for training.
You are blaming the customers for “thinking you deserve less pay” when the actual person not paying you enough is the bar owner. Sorry for kicking up yet another fruitless discussion about tipping in the US, but these kind of mental gymnastics just trigger me.
I also heard good things about Nobara in terms of gaming. Haven’t tried it myself though.
OliveTin looks interesting, thanks!
1 it is just an example
2 not what I asked but thanks for your input
Yeah dude, holy shit. Cannot believe these comments here. Does anyone of the MacOs evangelists have an example of how MacOs “respects the user”?
Yeah, exactly. I find the shilling for MacOS a bit concerning, already from the article and also the comments.
A Mac feels more like yours than Windows? Just goes to shows how shitty Windows has become, not how MacOS is better.
Why not both? (Until the laws are catching up)
Checks out with being an analyst I guess.
This is news? I have seen those labels here in Sweden a lot already. Just no idea if they do those scummy on the fly price changes.
Great to hear, thanks again!
Awesome, that is exactly the type of first hand experience and description I was looking for! Thanks!
Is there anything to be expected when updating the system to a new version? Maybe you haven’t done that yet…
No encryption as far as I am aware of, unless its standard in windows 10 and I don’t know about it. I have experience with partitioning, so I’ll have a think if this is worth trying or not.
Have already backed up important windows files anyway.
“Need” for windows is just my wife who uses the same laptop. VM might be an idea but it will still be “different” and she is not very technical. So yeah, it has to be dual boot for the beginning, so I might in the end just go for a different distro that is easier to set this up with.
Thanks! I have seen those links but haven’t had time to read them fully yet, they looked like just discussing around the issue to me, not solving it. But I will have a closer look again, thanks for highlighting those.
Yeah, try to avoid using USB hard drives.
Can you elaborate for which use case you’d see them as less reliable than other options? I am using USB connected drives now for about 2 years in a home setup and haven’t had any bad experiences. My use case might be a lot more low tech and than others though.
How do you not know CorgiDerp???
