The RIAA tried to get the original YouTube dl taken down a few years ago. That is why it’s called YouTube dlp now.
I can definitely see certain brands doing well with their own forums. Sports teams would be a very good niche for hosting their own instances. Another one would be the entertainment industry. It’s just not feasible for companies that aren’t interesting to talk about. Like there won’t be a Coca-Cola instance worth a lot of users.
I think most people are qualified to say that killing is bad regardless of the reasons or intent. If the goal of Israel is to put a stop to Hamas attacks then they certainly aren’t going to get there by killing random Palestinians regardless. That is only going to create more people who hate Israel in the long run.
Israel is retaliating against civilians for an attack carried out by Hamas. This is what America did in Afghanistan after the attack on the world trade center in 2001. It was dumb and it’s dumb now.
It’s giving me Iraq war vibes, except my friends aren’t getting involved. The escalation doesn’t make sense at all unless you consider Netanyahu needed to distract from his aspirations of becoming a dictator.
“Metaverse” was the idea that you would use only Meta services instead of the wider Internet. Much like AOL and Yahoo tried back in the 90s and 00s.
The worst part about plastic bottles is the energy required to make them.
They go through a 2 stage process where the plastic is melted and injection molded into a “pre-form”
Then they get fed into a blowmolding machine where they are heated in different areas by many 2k watt halogen bulbs. Once they’ve been heated properly they go into the blow mold where they are pressurized with ~500psi air.
The molds are liquid cooled through an industrial pipe system with an extremely large refrigeration system. The energy required to run all of the equipment is insane. A factory can consume as much energy in one hour as a standard home will in an entire year.
This doesn’t include all of the energy required for moving materials around since performs can be made at one factory and shipped to another and empty bottles are often shipped to warehouses and then off to the plant where they will be filled, then warehoused then distributed etc.
My dad has a PhD and he’s on his third marriage. Do you think I should ask him life advise? He’s dumb as hell unless you need a complex math problem solved. However, he feels like he can punch above his weight when it comes to other issues. It’s like a pro football player who thinks they could compete in any Olympic sport because they’re good at football.
The bill text excludes video game consoles completely.
Friend had an insight with oil consumption issues, so not those either.
I was upset when games like world of warcraft were charging for online play. I could see it back then that companies would charge you multiple times just to play games.
Automatics have also become wildly better in the past 10 years. They used to be 3-4 speed and break all the time. Now they are 10 speed and super quick and more reliable.
Where I live you can drive at 16 and I believe you can also drive a fully loaded 40 ton grain semi for farming purposes on a regular license.
It’s hurting the commuting industry.
I program mine to run less when we’re not home. On top of that I set a “super cool” routine on weekends when it’s going to be hot outside.
You see, the a/c is most efficient when it’s cooler already. So in the last hour of darkness in the summer I set it to run down to 68 or so. Then it doesn’t have to run as long to do that. Then it doesn’t have to run again for several hours as the temperature is set back to 72.
I also clean the outside coils annually and put up a sun sail so that the outside unit is shaded all day. This has helped save a lot of money along with the thermostat programming.
In keeping with Nintendo naming conventions it with be the “switch u” or more likely “switcheroo” It will be a VR based system that seems like an add on peripheral for the switch, but is actually a new system that nobody buys due to confusion and lack of titles.
I honestly never realized how much of af my stepdad did not give until much later. As a diabetic he would wear a fanny pack with his insulin, needless, and extra sugar drop candy in case his sugars dropped. This was before pumps were a thing. He would also wear bike shorts, slip on shoes with socks, a regular white t-shirt and a flannel as an outfit with the fanny pack. Oh and also transition lenses. The thing about the bike shorts is that his legs look like an eldritch horror because diabetics don’t heal very quickly when they get a scrape or cut. He also kind of looks like Dale from King of the hill.
I ran it for a little while, but it was too much work to set up what I ultimately wanted it to do. On top of that I don’t want to have touch it after I set it up. I use a lot of dumb motion sensors instead. Not the best solution sometimes, but better than having constant downtime at the worst time.
If you have a bunch of people guess how many M&M’s are in a jar you can average the guesses and you’ll come very close to the correct amount. A recommendation system can be very democratic in that way. When reddit still had their public API I would take advantage of this fact and use it to decide if something was a “deal” or not on PC parts. I was tracking the prices of computer ram at the time as an experiment. It worked very well. If they are federated properly, then their content can be filtered and appear on an instances front page.
