Now I’m a child of the GameCube generation so i was never raised on any NES games. But man i really enjoyed Zelda2 after i used codes to mainly just reduce the damage dealt. That said i did also save state the hell out of it and have no regrets.
But funny enough i find myself thinking about Zelda 2 all the time and i wish they would take a crack at a Zelda game in its style with modern sensibilities

I’m honestly not the biggest fan of the genre, but point and clicks I feel are a truly dying genre or at the very least they are so incredibly niche today
I just played Zelda 2 recently and that’s just a hard game period. I would go as far as to say its unfair during its late game. But I’m also a child of the GameCube/ps2/ og Xbox generation, I never really grew up having to play games like Zelda and Zelda 2 being the best of the best

Link seriously talks WAY more than people realize. The thing is that it only ever is represented by him doing little hand waves and head bobs. Like literally anytime someone says “what happened link, did lassie fall down the well?” He will actually be answering to fill that person in, I want to say WW is the first game to do it with an animation but people definitely ask link things and seem to get an answer even in OOT.
So in short I hope to god they don’t do silent protagonist.
Star Wars Rebels really showed me what found family is, as someone who has never really felt like they fit in very well with their blood family.

Live service is the whole reason Sony bought Bungie so frankly I don’t expect Bungie to ever make a non-gaas game ever again unfortunately. But that’s also ok because there is so so so little original talent left there
The original Luigi’s Mansion. First off little kid me was still scared SHITLESS cause this game has ghosts everywhere. And that dumb kid didn’t have a clue what “triangles” or animations" were so in his mind those ghosts could do ANYTHING to poor little Luigi just trying to save his brother.
And the story of course isn’t anything super amazing of course, it’s a non-rpg Mario game. But again little kid me doesn’t know shit. In my mind I can remember thinking "what if E.Gadd is lying and is actually evil. What if I can still find Mario somewhere in this mansion and we can gtfo together.
My family used to rent that shit from Blockbuster all the time and I was youngest of three, so I barely got to play much back then and we wouldn’t own it for years. But I can still remember major tears of joy when I finally did and Luigi just starts laughing at Mario with that vent stuck around his neck.
Others for my list that I’ve seen plenty here so won’t gush about the same way is: Dark Souls 1, Both Portal, Destiny if I could experience it from release day and have the shitty content droughts D1 went through constantly, Halo 3, and another I haven’t seen is JK: Jedi Outcast

No. DS only. N64 Mario 64 is only Mario, no multiplayer. But having grown up on the ds version as well, i would just like to say all that stuff is rad.
