The way I’ve heard how things work from places like Region Locked, it’s very likely some Game Freak employee made a working prototype to pitch a remaster to Nintendo as a side project.
Probably someone on the dev team for Black and White who said, “Hey, look what else I can make this engine do.”
Water still looks and moves better than most games.

At least they used the correct armor.
It irks me when they use the armor from Halo 2 or the remastered game to represent Combat Evolved.
Every one is mad because they’re greedily milking reruns and I’m just laughing because they clean skipped over FF8.
Just when you thought they stopped making these games.
Games that look so much better on another console or PC. Like the top-down GTA games.
