If you’re in the US: https://consumer.ftc.gov/consumer-alerts/2022/11/tried-cancel-service-couldnt-learn-steps-take
If not, maybe your government has similar steps?
I would have way more open, but Firefox has a cool feature to put week old tabs into a dormant menu. Then close them after so much time in the menu.
With ADHD it’s a godsend.
I found they were on the Google play and wanted to play them all. Dragon Quest 1 went fairly well, beat it in about a week off casual play.
Dragon Quest 2 went poorly. Turns out there’s a bug in the game that makes random encounters MUCH higher than it should be. Just getting to the first town took me a week because moving more than 3 tiles generated an encounter.
Still haven’t beat 2 because of that.
Voices of the Void. Because I like the subtle feeling of dread and knowing any action could result in something horrific.
Factorio. Optimization can always be improved upon.
Kenshi. Finally got my base built. Only cost a few arms and legs… and some of them weren’t mine!
I found paint.net a much better experience than GIMP. Now, I’m not that into photo editing, but it’s a much easier user experience for me.
An example being that you don’t need a 7 step solution just to deselect something. You can just click outside of the canvas.
Does it have all the bells and whistles of GIMP? Eh, not really, but there is a forum where people make individual packages for it, and there are a lot.
It’s like picking up chewing to quit smoking.
It’s not the same, but it does scratch that itch.
Rimworld and Kenshi. You are a part of the world, not some foretold hero. You can lose everyone in those games and it feels like the world won’t even notice.
You mean the post-apocalyptic, self driving car game?
You can play Super Mario World on the PS1?
I gotta see that. Lol
Top 5
Doom and Doom II
Command and Conquer: Red Alert
Super Mario World
StarCraft with Brood War expansion
Duke 3D
Voices of the Void.
Writing down the dish names and codes for the reports is a lot more fun than I thought.
I’ve never donated to Mozilla before, but will now.
This is not a defense of TikTok style short form content. It’s just that from time to time, I do enjoy the shorter style videos. Like when I have 5 minutes to kill, watch a few short videos and be on my way.
What I really don’t like is that if you choose the app and the last thing you watched was a short, it opens right back up to to Shorts. Very annoying.
Navy SEAL copy pasta.
Carroll.
Mostly guys had that name, though it was pretty neat.
Doom I and II with who knows how many hours since Christmas 1996.
Minecraft since 2011.
Binding of Issac with close to 1k hours.
Factorio with 850+ hours and currently rising.
Here’s the thing. Reddit had me hooked on it like no other until the API fuck up. Pretty much dropped it on it the spot.
After the first week it dawned on me how much time I was spending there.
So while I setup here, much less time is being spent online overall. But the interaction has jumped up immensely.
My garden is looking better and I’m hitting the gym much more often.
Dude, if that was my party, I would love these decorations.
