The video in the article is pretty hilarious but I doubt it works in real life. It was probably a demo controlled by a human. But still… nice idea.
If you don’t explicitly set a DNS to allow access from outside the local network, all your stuff is private and confined within your local network. As it is with all, let’s say, wifi stuff that goes on in your home.

There will always be new and smaller instances tho. Like it was true for smaller communities in reddit. It’s all good and well until they get exceedingly popular and a shitshow.
