alright you got me
alright you got me
I used to do Clapham to Cricklewood - which at rush hour could be up to 2 hours if there were delays or it was too busy to fit on a tube.
This could be a 90 commute in each direction depending on where it is.
it’s more interesting to me you think Britney Spears wasn’t marketed towards men.
honestly, I preferred reddit. But I’m here out of principle.
Agree to disagree - to me the Uk office was a Gervais vehicle with the Tim/Dawn romance Christmas special episode as a nice bonus and Gareth as an occasional funny victim of his own hubris. Keith and Finchy having a couple of good scenes. Neil, Donna, Rachel, Jennifer, Jamie, Ralph… all very forgettable.
In the US office, as mentioned, I think its a well rounded ensemble comedy where you can feel it’s a collab of a writers room and a complicit cast. Everyone has their favorite moments from pretty much any character…
In the early 2000s I probably would’ve liked the UK office more because I was an edgy teen. 25 years later and after an 8 year run, 200 episodes vs 14 - I feel like I’d much rather turn on the US one if I wanted a laugh.
heres a controversial opinion: The American Office vs the UK Office.
While I respect the original, Gervais’ external antics and the much meaner, darker humor just don’t create as good a comedy vehicle that enables the viewer to laugh and have fun and enjoy themselves watching the show
the former is known as “audience left/right”
but allow me to use a more dated theatrical terminology:
prompt side and bastard prompt.
Wow, this success is truly something to be proud of. I extend the most unreserved compliments to the whole group involved. Nintendo’s most well known title is thoroughly deconstructed now. I, for one, find myself delighted by the outcome.
I’ve had similar thoughts, but also then I was worried about legal liability if there’s drugs, violence, arson (not saying homeless are bad - these things happen even amongst middle aged middle class people)
I prefer to become a big benefactor of a charity that does good work and attend the board meetings.
Hannah Montana Linux is the only correct answer if you want to get instantly pregnant.
I had fewer issues with drugs after doing drugs, having a great time, feeling better the next morning than if I’d had 4 pints of beer.
I played games before there were consoles. I am fucking dust, man.
I wanna ding his little hat like a hotel reception bell
it’s not just one thing though. For a non technical user, it’s nerve-wracking to worry that if you screw up the install, or download the wrong package, or configure the YAML wrong, or open the wrong port, or there’s a port conflict, or you forgot to update the software… now you’re potentially unprotected (even if that’s not the case - many will still worry).
Not to mention even if you - as I did - had to skill up to understand it, three months passes and you’re terrified to touch it because you’ve forgotten all the stuff you learned to set it up.
Same as how the majority of people don’t even change their own oil on their cars - even though it’s fairly easy.
I was tempted to deep dive and find exactly the timeline but then I realized I should actually not do that as that would be a pointless exercise.
I am commenting this from a terrible strip club with friends who dragged me here. I wish I was in your position.
