8 months agoThere are several solutions but will be above the budget. Best solution is the Argon Eon case for the RPi 4. I’m waiting for a version for the RPi 5.
Can house the Pi and either 4x 2.5" drives or 2x 2.5" and 2x 3.5" drives, all SATA.

4·11 months agoI agree with you, though an argument can be made that might make (some) users look for alternative communities like the one here in Lemmy… but it might backfire also.
People want choice, yes, but after having chosen they do not like to change.
Personally I don’t mind change when it is for the better, but as much as it pains me I’ve been thinking about the communities I haven’t visited in Reddit. Don’t get me wrong, Reddit is still a shithole but there are strong communities there for specific subjects that should not be abandoned or destroyed, we need to lure them to move out of Reddit.
RedReader has strong accessibility features and was given an exemption for that.
If your backups are visible from the targeted systems, you are doing it wrong. Done right, a backup utility at most only uses an agent on the systems to be able to contact them to get the data and the backups are not reachable.
Have a look at how BackupPC works, not even an agent, it accesses network shares to get the data:

I use AdNauseam, includes uBlock Origin and more.

Yeah, but at least it’s just Google, not Google and Xiaomi (and who knows who else…).
I’m done with Xiaomi. Good hardware but very intrusive software. Just to change the ringtone or the notification sound I have to accept being spied by them. Had to use a 3rd party software to change these. Wallpapers? Nah, accept the terms to be spied on as you use our theme software. I’m done, writing this on a Redmi Note 11 but already ordered a Moto G23 to replace it. Love the screen of the Note 11 but tired of the bullshit push to relinquish control of the device.
Will try the Pixel Experience ROM after I transfer everything to the new phone but I need banking apps working, not much hopeful.
Whem the Fairphone 5 comes out I will buy one. Decided it is time to invest on fair devices.
Windows guests also run fine on KVM, use the Virtio drivers from Fedora project.
