I am indeed aware that philosophers are not a monolith. They are, however, way more likely to like Freud.
There are counter-trends, but there is a lot of Freudian shenanigans about. The fact that they are a major force bothers and intrigues me.
Your psychologists are Lacanian? And I thought it couldn’t get any weirder after being told you fellows get blue dollars from caves.
Look up “penis envy”. Or “Oedipus complex”. Or some of his views on women.
I get that for the artists, but what about the philosophers? Are they not big dick academics who will lose their standing if their ideas are nonesense?
Extremists tend to have anime pfps. Conservatives listen to the radio way more often, and are pretty much the only audience of radio talk shows. Progressives have a tendency to consider the implications of the media they consume way more than conservatives. Liberals tend to play tabletop games more often than other political groups. Socialists (of all variations) are the most likely group to have taken unconventional lifestyle choices (i.e. they’re vegan, live in a commune, make their own clothes, etc.). Authoritarians are obsessed with “the natural order”. This tends to shine through in the justificationns they give for their political beliefs. Anarchists/Libertarians shy away from the mainstream of literally anything (punk rock is a shining example, as is their prevalence here).
Myself. I’m just a hobbyist.
I was exaggerating a little, but it is still a huge swath of the Internet. And the Chinese and Russian parts of the 'net have enough of their own problems.
This is how it feels like to not be American and seeing decisions like this. They affect the whole Internet since so much stuff relies on US Internet infrastructure, yet you can only watch as the citizens of Burgerland drive the 'net into the ground.
