Thanks. This product category has matured nicely from the days of the GP2X and Pandora.

I think realistically 5th gen would be the limit in the price range, right? Any recommendations on which are most versatile? I understand Android can be better for some emulators, and Linux for others.
Thanks! That class of device is probably where I’m leaning, having now poked around some other sites as well. Honestly, those issues are about what I’d expect from this pricepoint/feature combination, but they don’t seem like dealbreakers and sounds like it’s a usable SBC in a gaming friendly package, which is about what I’m after.
I think the SteamDeck might be overkill here. Something along the Miyo or Anbernic is what I’m thinking initially, but I have no idea what in this product category is worthwhile.
That was one of the posts that piqued my interest. Also think the Anbernic ones look decent.
LED joysticks that can select from over 16 million color options. This might not be practical, considering only about 25 different color settings would have been sufficient.
So the RGB leds come with 256 levels of brightness for each color. Don’t worry, article-writer, the company wasted zero extra effort on this “feature.”
I consider getting one of these things every once in a while, but then I remember that I’ve pulled my hacked PSP out of the drawer like three times in the last ten years, and I shrug and move on. It’s generally more fun for me to plug a USB controller into my computer for retrogaming.
Not particularly helpful for you, but this seemed like the thread to chime in that in general with pizza, it’s always MUCH better to go big. Pi*r2, folks. A single 14" Dominos is already pretty much identical to two 10" mediums, and that’s only if you like to eat the crust. Always do your math by dollars per area, not diameter.
Could be a metaphor, you know. Who knows what, or who, Babo’s is encouraging you to bet against.
Pretty sure. It was a 32 oz bottle on the same shelf as all the cocktails and blends.
Now, to be fair, some people do recommend cutting pure cranberry juice with seltzer or water, but it was not specifically a concentrate.
“Made with real juice” does not mean it was made with the juice on the label. For example, a pineapple fruit juice may be more apple juice than actually pineapple juice
This gave rise to an amusing misunderstanding in our house. My wife asked for “Cranberry Juice, but 100% juice, not the cocktail; that’s too sweet.” I dutifully went to our store and found the Cranberry Juice cocktail, and also the juice that was mostly apple and white grape juice, because that’s always what they use here when they can. I thought, surely this must be very nearly as sweet, and kept looking. I eventually found the small, expensive bottle of 100% cranberry juice with no other juices and no sugar added.
This was a mistake.
Pure cranberry juice is not popular as a casual beverage for a reason. It is nasty. It tastes like I imagine the least dangerous acid kept behind the counter at the chemistry lab supply company tastes: safe for human consumption, but just barely and definitely deserving to be there behind the counter.
It’s still a bit small, but pressure treated being a little smaller than framing lumber is not necessarily a secret:
I still have my 7800, but the RF Modulator is shot to hell and I only have Genesis controllers for it. I don’t dislike emulators, so I haven’t been motivated to do any mods.
Back in the day, my older brother had a Sears Telegames 4-switch and a ColecoVision.
I choose to believe this one was done specifically to fuck with OP and ruin their day.
I didn’t realize it was a full <checks wiki> two and half years. Now I guess I need to go back and check out the WW2 sims from Lucasarts that were contemporary and see how they hold up.
This is Privateer erasure, and I will not stand for it!
Also, X-Wing and Tie Fighter were better in general.
TBF, if it’s mid-engine, that snoot probably gives it as much cargo capacity as the Palisade.
Now what I did like about it was the fairly nuanced tilt controls. But yeah, this one tended not to be all that immersive once you got the hang of dinging those multipliers up.
I don’t think Asteroids was a paddle game at all.
The old-school term for that was “flipping” a game. Super Mario Brothers and Zelda and the NES era more generally really brought in the concept of “beating” games.
Do you find you are able to emulate much that can make use of the analog sticks? The RG Arc-S and -D have similar internals and a nice screen, but they seem to have been consigned to the discount pile for lack of analog sticks (and maybe being late to the game for RK3566 models). As a Genesis kid, I always liked the Sega controllers of that era.
